NRC President visits CRAFT and tours its Device Foundry
On December 13, 2022, CRAFT leadership was very pleased to host Iain Stewart, President of the National Research Council of Canada (NRC), at the University of Toronto (U of T).
Mr. Stewart met with CRAFT and U of T senior leadership including CRAFT co-Directors Teodor Veres and Axel Guenther; CRAFT co-Leads Milica Radisic and Aaron Wheeler; Christine Allen, Associate Vice-President and Vice-Provost Strategic Initiatives, U of T; Scott Mabury, Vice-President, Operations and Real Estate Partnerships & Vice-Provost, Academic Operations, U of T; and Christopher Yip, Dean of the Faculty of Applied Science & Engineering, U of T.
After receiving a brief update on CRAFT’s activities, Mr. Stewart was given a tour of the CRAFT Device Foundry, a nationally unique facility for microfluidic device prototyping and small-scale fabrication which opened in October 2021.
Mr. Stewart was accompanied by Joel Martin, Acting Director of NRC’s Digital Technologies Research Centre, and Kelsey Sultana, Chief of Staff, Office of the President, NRC.
